In addition to their consulting expertise, our professional team includes several published authors of the leading Microsoft Project 2003 publications. Many of our staff are also frequent article contributors to the popular Project Management magazines and periodicals and also speak regularly at portfolio/project management and pharmaceutical conferences.

Where required, Project Assistants augments our project teams with resources to add specific skills. Our on-going recruiting process ensures that we have the right skills at the right time for our client engagement requirements.

Following is a brief summary of Project Assistants' MOBIS SIN 874-1 Consulting Services related core competencies:

Organizational Assessments: Project Assistants conducts Project Management (PM) Maturity Assessments to determine a client's current level of project management maturity. As part of the assessment, we review and analyze several project management components: process standards, methods and procedures, decision support, portfolio and resource management, tools and technologies, professional development, continuous improvement and knowledge management. As a result of a PM Maturity Assessment, the client receives a diagnostic report and presentation that provides a series of focused recommendations that form the foundation for developing a strategic plan and associated initiatives that support their business objectives.

Strategic, Business and Action Planning: Once organizations understand and acknowledge where they are in the project management maturity matrix and the degree to which they are mapping to their business strategies, Project Assistants designs business initiatives to achieve their desired level of maturity and meet their objectives. The scope of Strategic Planning can be limited to a specific project or address broader, enterprise-wide objectives. Project Assistants has developed our own project management methodology and processes. We understand, though, that a corporation's existing technology, organizational structure, business initiatives and processes all influence the design and implementation of an effective project management methodology. We work with clients to understand these factors and create a customized structure that provides the appropriate business controls to ensure ROI while avoiding unnecessary overhead.

Knowledge Management: Project Assistants works with clients to create and enhance a learning organization for continuous improvement. We have developed and implemented systems and processes to gather, assess and disseminate enterprise and industry best practices to help organizations enhance their Project Management Office and project management capabilities. By integrating knowledge management into best practices, organizations are able to more easily manage their methodologies and improve project productivity and consistency.

Program Audits: Many business unit and executives desire an objective, non-political assessment of all or part of their enterprise portfolio/project management infrastructure. Project Assistants has designed a methodology and process to conduct Strategic Assessments to determine how effectively a client's project management infrastructure maps to their strategic business objectives. Strategic Assessments may be customized to meet specific requirements and infrastructure complexity.

Project Assistants is the Project Management Authority. As such we use proven project management and controls methodologies, based on industry-recognized standards such as

The Project Management Institute (PMI), and processes to ensure on-time and on-budget results, to precise specifications that are detailed in each Statement of Work (SOW).

Each task-based, focused SOW states the project goals and performance expectations to ensure the mutual understanding of both parties. The SOW details the practices and procedures we will follow to ensure clients of successful execution of each task and phase within the project. In the SOW, you will find a detailed description of the project's organization, roles, responsibilities of all parties, management policies and procedures, change control processes, reporting requirements, deliverables acceptance and completion criteria for each task. In essence, the SOW provides a complete and detailed roadmap for the execution of the entire project. Consultants that lead each project are responsible for communications management throughout the entire project lifecycle, providing ongoing (often weekly) status reporting into a designated client-lead and ensuring all parties remain on-plan, on-budget and on-time and on-specification.

Because Project Assistants establishes an interactive team approach with each client, we are known for producing an outstanding level of quality work. This approach, combined with the unmatched expertise and professionalism of our project management consulting team, allows us to develop achievable plans for project completion -on-time, on-budget, and to established specifications. Project Assistants' approach to achieving quality control is founded on two (2) complimentary principles: All of our consultants responsible for delivering services follow a well documented methodology based on proven engagement management practices including scope definition, project planning, earned value management, variance analysis, communications, and change control.
